I thought I'd share some things that I'm excited about in the new Dynamics 365 Business Central 2022 release wave 2 coming in Oct 2022. Switch companies across environments

You can now from any environment or company switch companies across environments. This is such a timesaver and the way it looks in the user interface is really nice. 




Better bank reconciliation for checks

I found some updates to the Bank Account Card which are going to affect the bank reconciliation process. Also see that there is a Payment Reconciliation No. Series added.

Posted Bank Statement Report






Financial Reporting replaces Account Schedules

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central: adding new licensed users to BC

Adding a new licensed user isn't hard to do within Business Central (BC).  Prerequisite: license is purchased and available to assign to user. You also must be an Internal Admin or have proper security within BC to complete these tasks.  Microsoft 365 admin center Assign BC license to user. Dynamics 365 Business Central Navigate to Users page. Select Process > Update users from Microsoft 365 Update users from Microsoft 365 > Next Update users from Microsoft 365 > Next Update users from Microsoft 365. Review the updates within this window and click finish. Applying posted credit memos to posted invoices in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Applying posted credit memos to posted invoices isn't a hard task to complete in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The example I use below is for a vendor credit, but the same process applies to customers.  Version: US Business Central 20.0 Open up the vendors list. Search for vendor that you'd like to apply the credit memo to an invoice for.  Click on Balance field to open up Vendor Ledger Entries window. This will show all the 'open' documents on the vendor ledger. Select the line for the Credit Memo that you want to apply to a posted invoice. Click Process > Apply Entries Within the Edit - Apply Vendor Entries window select the line(s) that you'd like the credit memo applied to.  Click Process > Set Applies-to ID This will put the users name into the Applies-to ID field on the line selected.
